Women's Media Group Announces 2026-2027 Board of Directors

New York, NY —April 1, 2026— Women’s Media Group (WMG), a New York City-based nonprofit organization composed of women who have gained prominence in various media fields, is excited to announce its 2026-27 Board of Directors. Led by Co-Presidents Jane Wesman and Jacqueline Cripps, this newly confirmed group brings together women leaders committed to advancing WMG’s legacy of connection, mentorship, and support for women in media.

The 2026-27 Board of Directors includes:

  • Jacqueline Cripps, Co-President

  • Cristina Goyanes, Treasurer

  • Jessica Gutowitz, Secretary

  • Jodie Cohen, Membership Co-Chair

  • Georgia McBride, Membership Co-Chair

  • Yona Deshommes, Programming Co-Chair

  • Genevieve Piturro, Programming Co-Chair

  • Mara Anastas, Fundraising Co-Chair

  • Gabrielle Gayagoy Gonzalez, Fundraising Co-Chair

  • Keline Adams, Scholarships Co-Chair

  • Stacey Ashton, Scholarships Co-Chair

  • Kathleen Schmidt, Communications Chair

  • Brittany Fuller, Board Member At Large

  • Jennifer A. Perry, Board Member At Large

  • Kathy Sandler, Board Member At Large

“I’m especially proud that so many members of our Board are continuing into a second term,” said Co-President Jane Wesman. “Their continued dedication underscores the strength of the WMG community and the impact of our work.”

Over the past year, the 2025-26 Board hosted 45 events and gatherings for WMG members and guests. These included in-person programs such as the WMG Comedy Night at Gotham Comedy Club, a luncheon with Molly Jong-Fast, and meetups supporting members navigating media job layoffs. Virtual programs covered timely topics including The Art of Being Irreplaceable: Creativity in the Age of AI, The Craft & Creation of Audiobooks, and The New Fourth Estate: How Newsletters Are Reshaping Independent Media. Through these offerings, WMG continues to promote the status of women through the power of communication and media.

WMG also awarded 14 scholarships and fellowships to support the next generation of publishing professionals, along with six Rise Fund grants, which provides financial support for professional development opportunities that concretely help members enhance their career growth. In total, WMG distributed $44,480 in scholarships and Rise Fund awards in 2025.

Jacqueline Cripps, Co-President for 2026-27, shared, I’m honored to step into the role of Co-President after serving as a Member-at-Large. I’m looking forward to working alongside this amazing group of women to keep growing and strengthening our community.”
