About the speaker:

Lisa Durden is not your ordinary voice in the media landscape – she's a provocateur and a truth-teller, wielding the power of storytelling to redefine our collective narrative. Lisa's voice is her activism, resonating as a brilliantly outspoken ABC News Contributor, Social Justice Journalist, Content Curator, Multihyphenate Media Maker and thought leader. She’s a recognized National Media Personality, gracing such esteemed platforms as ‘ABC News 20/20;’ Revolt TV’s ‘Revolt Black News;’ and ‘CBS’ News.’ She’s also an award-winning producer of film and television - including ABC 20/20’s documentary, ‘Diary Of A Killer;’ Hulu series ‘The Conversations Project;’ A&E Network series ‘Neighborhood Wars 2;’ ‘Girls Matter Documentary;’ Verizon PSA ‘Conversations With Mom, to name a few. Her alma mater, Seton Hall University, bestowed upon her the "Vanguard Award for Excellence in Communications," and she received "The Woman On Fire Award For Outstanding Dedication To Media" from Newark Circle Of Sister. Ms Durden added another feather to her cap by earning her Masters In Fine Arts Degree in Social Documentary Film from New York's School Of Visual Arts.
