For all of us in publishing and the media, the importance of pre-publication legal review of news stories, press releases, books, podcasts and other media content cannot be overstated. In this dynamic presentation, New York media and publishing attorney Carolyn Schurr Levin will discuss what the legal vetting process entails, what to expect, and why it’s worthwhile.

About the speaker:

Carolyn Schurr Levin, an attorney at Miller Korzenik Sommers Rayman LLP,  is a highly-regarded expert on media, publishing, First Amendment, and intellectual property law. She routinely counsels journalists, public relations professionals, authors, publishers, podcasters, and other content creators on media and publishing matters. Carolyn has taught Media Law and Ethics at Long Island University, Stony Brook University School of Journalism, Pace University, and CUNY's Baruch College. Carolyn served as the Vice President and General Counsel of Ziff Davis Media and the Vice President and General Counsel of Newsday. She is admitted to the bars of New York, Connecticut and the District of Columbia.
