In celebration of Juneteenth, join WMG member Fatimah Gilliam and WMG co-President Jodi Brockington in conversation about the origins of Juneteenth and how to best honor this holiday today. They will also discuss Fatimah's forthcoming book: Race Rules—What Your Black Friend Won’t Tell You. This sneak peek into the book will focus on identifying and helping all of us navigate the unwritten “rules” relating to race in today’s racially-polarized world. Topics will include cultural appropriation, micro-aggressions, and best practices for discussing race. The goal is to provide concrete and actionable guidance about complex issues for how individuals can adapt in their personal and professional lives to the pivotal times we're living in by responding with knowledge and facts, not just emotion. Come learn, listen, and be a part of this important conversation.
