The 50th Anniversary Gala will be a very special celebration bringing together members, friends, WMG scholars, and supporters of women in media to celebrate 50 years of Women's Media Group! It will include an awards ceremony honoring women who embody WMG’s values of community, diversity, and women’s empowerment; a cocktail party; and a silent auction to fundraise for the WMG Educational Foundation, which is central to our mission to provide women with educational opportunities and financial assistance at all stages of their careers.

Since it was founded in 1974, WMG has focused on supporting women pursuing careers in publishing, journalism, and all areas of media. Over the past five decades, our New York-based nonprofit has brought together women in media to collaborate with, learn from, inform, and mentor one another. Together, we seek to advance the position of all women through the power of communication and media.
